The original of this painting is an old dutch flower still life from the 17th century. I began to disassemble the picture, to show them only in individual snippets that, seemingly dancing, vaguely quote the original. In a book I stumbled over a sentence given by a young admirer to his much older loved one: "Never stop blooming" (ChirĂº - Michela Murgia). It perfectly describes my feeling for the aim to transport the old still life into the contemporary.
