Elusive
image of the Moon, barely perceptible through the dark geometrical structure
created with black felt-tip pens. This piece marks my development from the
abstract minimalism to the nocturnal realism. I am fascinated by the Moon and
its celestial performance. But despite its omnipresence only very few people
are paying attention to it. And here I’ve found a certain analogy to my drawing which also could be
considered to be a mere black paper or a digital print. In fact, those are
thousands and thousands of tiny lines systematically put one next to each
other. From a close watch the structure of lines makes the image of the Moon
invisible but from the distance an intangible lunar form emerges.
