This diptych reflects on the accelerated rhythm of contemporary life, where individuals move within their own trajectories, often disconnected not only from one another, but also from the very environment they inhabit.
Through painted porcelain figures embedded into the canvas, Belinha Silva explores the tension between material presence and emotional distance. Each character advances along suspended, flowing lines, suggesting parallel paths that rarely intersect. Absorbed in their own inner worlds, they move forward without truly perceiving the space surrounding them.
The vibrant and saturated color field evokes a dynamic and almost overwhelming landscape, hinting at a rich environment that remains largely unnoticed by the figures themselves. This contrast reinforces the idea of a fragmented awareness, where presence does not necessarily imply perception.
