This large drawing was created using pollution particles that are 300,000 years old. The ink was harvested from diesel trucks in Delhi. I mixed the ink with Sumi ink (made of wood and bone ash) and walnut ink. The paper on which the drawing is executed is made from cotton. Because of all this, the drawing really consists of stored and now released solar energy across millions of years, as well as carbon dioxide that was converted into carbon in that same period.
First Exhibited at OURS gallery by Richie Hawtin and Laura Käding during Lisbon Design Week 2025.
