Outcast,
rejected and ostracized in the myth as the antagonist, actually,
Medusa is the misunderstood victim of oppression and abuses; forced
to turn her own condemnation and monstrosity into a self-defence
instrument. Here depicted in a resting pose, as waiting for her fate
to unfade.
By
painting her for the first time I couldn't fail to undergo her
fascination and since then I've tried to promote her as the recurring
subject and identification mark of my paintings.
