Marguerites

It is a rather personal story with my work "Marguerites" which depicts an abundant flower shower inspired by my own work created many years ago when I was a child. Coming across with my old painting reminded me the energy, lightness and fun of making it back then. It reminded me who I really was and who I am. At the time I was painting the work I experienced a certain creative setback and I was looking to find new ways to move on. Paradoxically, I found a new way in my slightly modified old one. It is a story of a magic of the colour performed by hundreds of little flowers which silently emerge every Spring from year to year in gardens and parks, just like hope in human mind every time it has almost perished from despair. The work is about joy of creation and hope, finding joy in little things in life and within ourselves.
