Vertebra Aurea (2026)
Vertebra Aurea nasce da una ricerca sulla materia e sulla memoria. Marmo, sabbia, pigmenti e colle si stratificano sulla superficie creando un terreno di emersione e scoperta. Al centro dell’opera, una sequenza di vertebre riaffiora dal nero profondo della materia, come un reperto che attraversa il tempo e torna alla luce.
Il contrasto tra il nero e l’oro rappresenta il dialogo tra esperienza e trasformazione, tra ciò che rimane nascosto e ciò che si rivela. La vertebra, elemento essenziale della struttura umana, diventa simbolo di resilienza, memoria e identità.
L’opera appartiene alla serie Vertebrae, un percorso in continua evoluzione che esplora il rapporto tra materia, tempo e forma attraverso processi di accumulo, erosione e riemersione.

Vertebra Aurea originates from an exploration of matter and memory. Marble dust, sand, pigments, and binders are layered onto the surface, creating a field of emergence and discovery. At the center of the work, a sequence of vertebrae resurfaces from the deep black material, like an archaeological finding reappearing through time.
The contrast between black and gold embodies the dialogue between experience and transformation, between what remains hidden and what is revealed. The vertebra, an essential element of the human structure, becomes a symbol of resilience, memory, and identity.
The work is part of the Vertebrae series, an ongoing body of research that investigates the relationship between matter, time, and form through processes of accumulation, erosion, and re-emergence.
