Africa is distant and close... Close by the natural brightness of fabrics, the unbridled energy of people, the diversity of the animal world living in balance with people, not just next door, but in intertwining, and this unity cannot but create a deep philosophy based on love!
In this painting I wanted to draw attention to the ancient East African symbol “Power of Love”, meaning LOVE WILL NEVER LOST ITS WAY HOME.” This powerful, by definition, message sends us back to those distant times when the cultivation of land and the future harvest was elevated to the rank of a cult, because it was vitally important, and a person’s love for the land and work on it was no less important than the love for a woman Moreover, a woman, as a source of new life, was no less revered! Nowadays, of course, this symbol carries a more romantic meaning and love for a woman, as a mother and lover, remains the main one, which does not make it any less attractive.
