This embroidered lily blooms in a verdant setting, between threads, silk ribbon, watercolor, and memories. The stamens at the heart of this flower are not insignificant: they were given to me by a creator from my hometown, Oran, in 1986. Violetta made hats
and floral lampshades, dresses for porcelain dolls... a refined and enchanting universe. At 14, I was embroidering tablecloths and paintings with a needle, patiently, stitch after stitch. I had inherited from her a wooden cabinet, filled with treasures: old
ribbons, trimmings, rare fabrics... and these stamens, preserved like gems. Today, they finally find their place in this work. An invisible link between past and present, between transmission and creation. The object, a memory that I kept preciously waiting
for "the right time" to bring it back to life.
