The work is part of a cycle of works is inspired by Indian legends and is related to the theme of shamanism, of initiation rites. In each work are represented a series of tests related to the elements of nature, fire, air, earth, water that the protagonists of the work must overcome to wait for knowledge.
The works are made with the ballpoint pen with the precision of the engraving and the inspiration for these works were Goya's Caprices. the characters are the result of the interpretation of the photographs of the turn of the century taken by the explorer Curtis and the drawings made during a trip to America.
The intention is to bear witness to the existence of these now extinct tribes and to tell their stories, legends and with an emphasis on spirituality and oral transmission.
