It is extraordinary to think that the water of the oceans, seas and rivers begins in a small spring hidden among the rocks in a mountain. Water that then flows into the sea. The water cycle is life that renews itself and nature that regenerates itself. The Venice lagoon and the Adriatic Sea are constantly fed by flows of water that flow from the mountains on long winding paths until they reach the sea.
If we look at the suggestive line of the Adige river on the map, if we follow the line backwards from its mouth in the Adriatic Sea this takes us to its source in Val Venosta, in Alto Adige, more precisely in the town called Curon. One day curiosity pushed me to retrace the path of the river to see for myself the place where the Adige is born. This project represents the point where the adventure of life begins, of water that will take about 15 days to reach the Adriatic Sea, traveling its 415 kilometers of length.
