"Inga Anette" b. 1876 at the naval base Karljohansværn in Horten, Norway, married mechanical engineer Thoralf on 11.11.1900. 14 years later she became a widow and was forced to send away several of her children.
An abandoned building in Malang, Indonesia. The exterior suggests that the building dates from the colonial period, possibly from the 1920s. The layout suggests that it may have been a so-called HIS school ("Hollandsch-Inlandsche School"). These were schools where children from the local population received a curriculum that was largely similar to that followed by students at regular schools (only for Dutch people).
