Iconoclasta is a triptych composed of a central panel measuring 89 x 61 cm and two side panels measuring 89 x 33 cm each. Inspired by the Dresden Triptych by Jan van Eyck, in this version the donors have been omitted, instead they have been replaced by the outer panels, which in the original work become visible when the triptych is closed and show the Virgin Mary and the Archangel Gabriel in a scene from the Annunciation. In this piece, all kinds of references become absurd, the faces of the Virgin and the Archangel belong to Pinterest models, symbols such as the fleur de lis or the dove of the annunciation appear as repeated and meaningless patterns, the The original architectural environment is replaced by shafts and flat Corinthian capitals that outline an incipient intention of perspective, just like the carpet. It is a tribute and at the same time a denunciation of the lack of meaning and absurdity that a work with this theme would currently have.
