Homesick portrays a woman suspended in a moment of remembrance. The rising smoke gives visible form to the fleeting and intangible nature of those memories.
The work explores homesickness not simply as longing for a geographical place, but as distance from one’s identity. Home becomes an emotional territory formed by familiarity, memory, relationships, and the sense of being fully oneself. The figure’s fragmented edges suggest how displacement and prolonged separation can gradually unsettle that sense of wholeness.
