Historical
landscape, Gortys Crete, West.
The work was
created amid the ruins of what was once an amphitheatre belonging to the
remains of the city of Gortys located in the Messara plain on Crete. The work
is made from the same point of view and is a combination of 10 separate parts
made in 10 consecutive days with an hour time difference every day. My viewing
direction was oriented to the West and in my field of vision the remains of a
Roman amphitheatre were visible. My line of sight is also different with every
work, which resulted in a changing horizon.
