This series consists of six paintings produced between 2023 and 2025. The works were created as a means of preventing a personal decision—to live in Europe—from slipping into forgetting. Through repeated acts of painting accumulated over time, an intense yet momentary memory formed during travel—the sudden desire to go elsewhere—gradually transforms into a sustained commitment. The first work was initiated immediately after the artist’s return to Europe and developed over more than three months. The second painting was produced in 2024 after the first work had left the artist’s possession due to relocation, remade to retain a decision that was beginning to fade. The remaining four works were executed consecutively in 2025 before the birth of the artist’s child, anticipating the restriction of oil painting afterward and functioning as a temporary storage of a decision on the verge of disappearance. Completed within several days to two weeks, they were installed to occupy an entire wall of the studio, filling the space so the decision would not be overwritten by new experiences. The series captures both the difficulty of sustaining momentary memory within daily life and the way in which the means of resistance themselves become increasingly fleeting.
