My work titled 'Flight in the Clouds' expresses a feeling of freedom, openness, and endless space. The large canvas format allowed me to create a story about traveling through the sky. Using a sponge, I painted soft and realistic cloud textures into the sharp geometric shapes. The painting is divided into two moods – the left side represents a cooler, mysterious stormy sky, while the right side transitions into a warm sunny day full of yellow energy and light. The sharp golden lines that cut across the canvas are actually birds depicted geometrically. Their flight connects these two views of the sky and gives the whole painting a sense of dynamics and movement.
