Fisherman’s Wife with Pot, from
Ghana, the town of Elmina, in the shadow of the horrible slave traders’ fort.
The woman is
resting, the pot in front of her she carries on her head. I painted this in my studio at the Cite
International des Arts in Paris in 2019 as part of a series of nine works on
Ghana themes, after spending time in Ghana in 2018.
