Finestra del Cielo (2025)
Acrylic on canvas, 80 × 80 cm
“Finestra del Cielo” — Italian for “Window of the Sky” — presents an abstract composition built from vertical and horizontal lines in golden and green tones layered over a deep blue background. The linear structure suggests a grid or window, as though the viewer were standing before a translucent veil filtering the light of the sky.
The layered blues and greens create atmospheric depth, evoking both aquatic reflections and celestial expanses. In contrast, the golden strokes cut through the canvas with luminous vibration, appearing as rays of light breaking through the density of the pictorial space.
The painting explores themes of transparency and transcendence, inviting the gaze to move beyond this symbolic frame toward something immaterial. Meditative and almost mystical, the work balances geometric clarity with chromatic fluidity.
As such, “Finestra del Cielo” becomes a metaphor for openness and connection — a window onto the infinite, where the human meets the immaterial.
