Without having a concrete image in mind, I paint according to what I feel and think.
I am interested in the new images and thoughts I encounter while drawing.
My paintings are primarily done in casein tempera on primed panel.
I am fascinated by the natural appearance of these paints, such as the vivid, matte color surfaces that are the result of the pigments themselves, and the bleeding that occurs because they are water-based.
Many things are equally important to the work.
Big and small touches. Bright colors, dull colors. The base, the panel, the temperature, the sound, etc. I think I, the painter, am one of them.
A painting that has as little unnecessary detail as possible, with plenty of space and a sense of light.
