Ellie Lasthiotaki is a Greek-born visual artist working across painting, sculpture, and ceramics. She is the recipient of the Chairman’s Award at the International Artist Grand Prize Competition, Taipei (2025) and has been shortlisted four times in the same competition. With a strong academic background in History of Art and Archaeology and currently pursuing her MFA, she combines scholarly depth with an experimental, multidisciplinary practice. Having lived in Greece, the UK, and Singapore, her work reflects a dialogue between diverse cultural and artistic influences.
Inspired by her Cretan childhood, Mediterranean light, and the timeless resonance of Byzantine gold, Ellie embraces chance, spontaneity, and material exploration. She moves fluidly from landscapes and seascapes to abstract investigations of memory and emotion, while creating multifaceted sculptural and ceramic works.
Since 2015, she has exhibited internationally, with solo exhibitions in Singapore, numerous group shows worldwide, participation in prestigious art fairs, and representation by Gallery1819 (Singapore), Angkor Art (Cambodia), and A Consultancy Gallery (Hong Kong). Her works are also held in private collections across Europe, Asia, and the U.S.
