Disparition I is the seventh and the last image in a series related to the
Anthropocene. For science, 2024 marks the beginning of a new era where
human activities are visible on the geological strata of the Earth and,
consequently, on its inhabitants. Scientists have named it
« Anthropocene. » The images produced bring together animals and human
skeletons in a formal and symbolic relationship; a fragile and
vulnerable interweaving destined to disappear. This notion of
disappearance here plays with the two levels of language and refers both
to what happens at the level of the image and what undoubtedly happens
to humans and animals.
