Celestia Signa (Celestial Signs) is a polyptych composed of twenty-five interconnected panels inspired by astronomical imagery and data transmitted from satellites and space observatories. The work reflects on humanity's attempt to understand the universe through fragments of information, recorded light, and distant signals arriving from regions beyond direct perception.
Each panel represents an individual observation, while together they form a larger visual constellation. Similar to contemporary astronomical surveys that combine thousands of separate images into coherent maps of the cosmos, the polyptych assembles isolated signs, geometric structures, and spatial rhythms into an interconnected system.
Rather than depicting specific celestial objects, the work explores the process of constructing meaning from scattered data. Scientific observation becomes a starting point for a symbolic reading of the universe, where points, trajectories, and luminous forms function as signs of connection, orientation, and discovery.
Through repetition and variation, Celestia Signa transforms fragmented observations into a unified visual field, inviting viewers to navigate the work as a contemporary star map situated between cosmic research and human imagination.
