After Al-WASI, I chose to dive into the depth of red. I didn't want to return to painting trees or forests — I stayed in the cosmos. This painting partially draws from an image captured by the James Webb telescope, but with a bold twist: my footprint.
This is my first direct message to humanity.
In an age obsessed with high-definition space imagery, society turns a blind eye to one of its greatest injustices: gender inequality.
I’m not claiming to be a feminist — I’m simply asking how women can exist freely in a world where technology lacks empathy, where beauty is currency, and where careers are harder to build for women than for anyone else. Women are pushed to monetize their bodies, even their feet, while algorithms reinforce unattainable standards.
My foot, placed near two newborn stars, becomes a symbol. Creation is not only cosmic — it is feminine too. But our stories are rarely honored in the same way.
I titled this work in Korean. A name that seems random, unreadable to most — just like the logic behind the world’s ongoing injustices. It doesn't make sense. And that’s the point.
