Burning

The sign creates the movement of exit of the human figure from the earth. The figure is represented in its essential. It is not important to define a man in his details but in his feeling. In the face and look is all the bewilderment and pain of what is happening. The figure looks passive in this painful birth from mother earth. It is the ground that moves the body still shapeless. It emerges from the heat and burns the earth and the heat spreads into the subject's body. I leave the symbolic reading of this very intimate painting open.
