Part of the ongoing DESTINY? series, BLUE FATE reflects on unresolved existential questions: do we live through events that are already written, or do our choices shape what happens? Does destiny exist? How much of our path is predetermined, and how much is defined by our decisions?
The work is composed of six canvases, each measuring 60 × 90 cm, which can be rearranged into different configurations. This suggests that the meaning of what we experience is not fixed, but shifts depending on order, perspective, interpretation, and the color we assign to it. The spheres that populate the surface represent events, large or small, that leave a mark on our lives. Some seem to recur, others appear isolated or unresolved. None are neutral: each one shapes us, leaving a trace behind.
The dominant blue envelops the composition in a suspended atmosphere, a perceptive limbo where everything is still potential. Like an emotional filter, color influences the way we read what happens to us. Just as in life, in painting too, tone changes perception.
The paint is layered with a palette knife, revealing imperfections, transparencies, and discontinuities. Each panel stands on its own, yet gains new meaning in dialogue with the others. Together, they do not offer answers, but open up a space for questioning, a silent exchange between what happens to us and how we choose to see it.
