These subjects could be my mind's way of dealing with the trauma of water, in a safe and controlled manner, through art. The depths of the sea and its inhabitants, such as submarines or shipwrecks, are powerful symbols that can represent the unknown, vulnerability, or survival.
Painting them becomes for me a form of inner exploration, an attempt to elaborate on my relationship with water and the concept of immersion in it. Shipwrecks and submarines reflect a desire to explore what is hidden or buried within me.
