Concept Birth is part of a cycle of works inspired by the structures and behavior of slime moulds—organisms that form complex networks of connections by responding to their environment and the flow of information. The cycle focuses on observing intelligence as a relational process emerging from interaction, adaptation, and movement rather than from a single decision-making center. In this work, attention is directed toward a moment of transition—a phase in which dispersed activity begins to organize into structure.
Meaning The central, condensed form functions as a point of intensification where matter and energy concentrate. It does not operate as an autonomous entity but as a fragment of a dynamic system remaining in constant relation to its surroundings. Delicate white mesh-like structures appear as traces of connection and communication characteristic of slime moulds. Their presence suggests a process of forming relationships—linking, dissolving, and reconfiguring—emphasizing intelligence as distributed across a network rather than localized in a single point.
Description The composition is built around a spiral movement that introduces a sense of accumulation and expansion, guiding the viewer’s gaze toward the center while activating the entire pictorial field. The juxtaposition of cool blues and greys with warm tones of ochre and orange creates tension between concentration and dispersion. The layered structure of paint and visible gesture reinforce a sense of variability and continuous transformation. The image functions as a visual record of a process—a system shaped by relations, flow, and the gradual emergence of structure.
