This drawing is part of a project called Absurd Behaviour, and the drawings all repeat the same action on paper over and over again. It embodies the creation process of drawing and seeks to establish a methodology for producing a single drawing following two rules: always make the same pattern and push it ad absurdum. In this drawing, I use small curved lines, inspired by the double-slit experiment, where light behaves strangely, altering the pattern left on a surface depending on whether it is being observed or not. I draw shapes of rectangles, accumulating strokes and allowing the image to emerge organically without preconceptions.
The main idea is to let the image surface without any preconception but with a spirit of adventure, where the primary intention is to discover through the process all the possibilities of drawing and how organically the image rises from the unconscious, manifesting on the paper. This gives the observer the opportunity to contemplate it and find their own interpretation.
