“11 Tears” is a series of 12 sculpted-canvas paintings (51 cm x 51 cm, 20 x 20 in. each). 11 of which represent a tear cried, hinting at the varied anatomy of natural born females. The 12th is a blade and it is the “Tear” with the power to tear apart. “11 Tears” is a cry against any and all attempts to destroy, demoralize, or belittle the innate power and beauty of any and all natural born females regardless of their shape, form, or condition. It is basically an expression against female mutilation of any sort, in all the senses of the word. When such art pieces are photographed with flash, the interior shines, like the lines on a road as you get closer and illuminate the path. It’s a series that brings women’s inner light to the surface, where it is visible and obvious.
