We need to change. Nothing will be the same as before. Future has to be reconnected with our past and we need to take a lesson from our mistakes and trauma. In this process of healing, we need to re-think our relationships, spaces and meanings.
The work RE-CONNECTING RE-GENERATING RE-BONDING, has a simbolic value on its trying to recreate connections. the work on the facades of buildings (expecially abandoned buildings) revitalize them. The sign, its presence outside the empty or broken windows as a scream. The building is like an human, where blood in an open wound has to be sewn for its healing, its new birth. The building is where humans find protection, social identification, confort. My artwork is a gesture, a simbol of rebonding open wounds that the building leave to the urban space. I ideally use the japanese sashiko (that here is oversized!) a technique referring to the ancient BORO not casually, infact here imperfections, broken pieces of fabrics, are valorized in a process of continuity, as a life cycle process. Imperfection, continuity, rebirthing.
My message is this: there is a lot of beauty on this process of cyclicality and imperfection.
TECHNIQUE: this work is SITE SPECIFIC. Starting from a modular size that is adapted to the size of place. Colours of fabrics and yarns are studied for being in contrast with the facade of the building.
