Variations #4

The collection of digital works called Variations was created during 2020 and 2021. Research in this area, the author began in response to the state of isolation during 2020, when life was placed in an existential matrix of repetition devoid of the social needs of the individual. The motifs are deprived of the atmosphere and the presence of man, reduced to the basic geometric shapes that make up the image. In this concept, two spheres of interest collide - photography and design, as a combination of two directions of the author's career; professional and artistic. The creative methodology and structure of these works are characterized by interdisciplinary. In the artistic process, the author combines graphics, photography, design and computer-generated image. The works represent a visual play of backgrounds on which geometric shapes are repetitively arranged, viewed through glass, transparent objects of various shapes and thicknesses, thus creating interesting curved shapes, playing with the motifs of optical art.
