Liu Ge is a philosophical and authentic artist from Guangzhou, China. He is deeply curious about the unknown of the universe and the mystery of the Transcendental World. Just as science and philosophy seek to explore the origins of life and the world, he hopes to do the same through the language of art.
Using burnt ink as his medium, he has created 1,000 small-scale, original works on paper. Based on these paper works, he has further extended his practice by producing over 1000 digital painting works and over 200 experimental video pieces using digital art and AI tools. These works are assembled and constructed into multiple visual systems of the universe, allowing viewers to experience in physical space the uniquely beautiful vision of "The Ecosystem of the Transcendental World and Its Multiple Universes."
Each small painting embodies a fragment of the world's spirit; each frame constitutes a particle of the universe's matter. It is precisely through the combination of these "matters and spirits" that the wholeness of the world is constructed. By continuously revealing the "Being" of the universe, he seeks to glimpse the "Non-Being" of the Transcendental World — using "Being" to peer into "Non-Being."
Liu Ge's artistic forms are "paper-based painting + digital painting + experimental video." His artistic spirit is a leap from "Origin — Future."
The digital painting series submitted for this competition consists of 20 pieces, collectively titled Projected Illusions of the Real World (each piece has a sequential series number). We hope to have the opportunity to participate in competitions, exhibitions, and to receive awards.
