After visiting a beautifully pink brick built jail in Toulouse, the St Michel jail, that is being repurposed as a museum that will also held exhibitions in honour of the members of the French Resistance that were held there during WWII, I created this single page "comic" in honour of these brave heroes, but also in honour of anyone who has the bravery to resist oppression and stand for their freedom of expression and thought.
"Libre d'esprit" which translates to Free spirit, shows the "uncageable" strength of the spirit, the mind, while also telling the story of the building.
The drawings are hand drawn and where assembled on computer to create to comic.
