My artwork, "Fracture of Time," is a visual representation of contemporary capitalism analysis and its inevitable contradiction: the insatiable demand for consumption contrasts with the increasing precarity of the consumers who sustain it.
At the core of the composition, a tall, withered tree symbolizes the precariousness of life and the decay of nature. In the distance, harsh and somnambulant skyscrapers challenge the withered tree. These buildings represent technological apex and indifference towards nature and human life itself.
Within the artwork, I cluster a series of human figures, each immersed in their own precarity. Their faces are hidden, sending a message of hopelessness and disorientation they feel while trying to subsist in this hostile landscape.
The figures are enveloped in an environment that seems stripped of nature; a desert-like panorama bereft of the earth's green beauty. Its absence serves as a metaphor for the disconnection that has been forged between individuals and nature, a fracture intensified by the relentless march of technology.
"Fracture of Time" goes beyond a simple painting; it's a cry of protest, a denunciation before the greediness of capitalism, a call to consciousness, and a tribute to those who struggle to survive in this severely unequal system.
