"Sixty-six Jars" is a wall installation that contains 66 jars filled with algal solution that addresses the archaic question of the origins of life, and speculates the brevity of the human path compared to that of bacteria. Every jar contains a bit of something very similar to the Primordial Soup where it all began. It’s a living matter that has been on the planet much much longer than humans. They can be installed as a wall box, or horizontally over a light box.
"Sixty-six Jars" is part of the cycle "Energy Bottles". This cycle of works is composed of installations made of glass bottles or ampullae of different shapes, containing organic liquid or semi liquid solutions composed of harvested living organisms like cyanobacteria or algae, and some stabilizing agents like resin, oil or alcohol. The energy of the living matter is captured within the bottle like the magic of the jinn imprisoned in the lamp. Energy bottles are powered by the magic of life, and are never to be opened.
