Inspired by the North African pottery, the "Désir d'eau" collection is dedicated to the "Arts de la table" and reinterprets the traditional know-how. The combination of earth and glass led me to create a formal and sensory complicity between these two materials. The contrast between transparency and opacity is reduced by the play of volumes and shapes.
Although mundane by nature, the action of offering and serving water conveys a sense of hospitality and generosity. This modest gesture can be sublimed by the beauty of a vessel. In some pieces the contents is on display, in others it remains undisclosed. My work takes place in this space where an object discretely and silently prompts or nudges a person to use it.
