Discarded glass and porcelain objects gain a second life in Suly Burnstein Wolf's random juxtapositions. Bottle-tops, bowls, vases, orbs, and lampshades are playfully combined into exuberant totem poles, tabletops and site-specific installations. Ignoring their history, she repurposes ordinary, outmoded consumer goods into one-of-a-kind sculptures while addressing issues of History, Function, Recycling, Value, and Identity. The works, are serving as decorative objects, some can function as a lighting object as well.
