ZIMA, the alter ego of Ilias, is a robotic engineer and contemporary artist who reaches out to a wide audience, presenting social concepts aimed at making viewers reflect and be amazed through interactive works that blend sound and robotics. The use of discarded materials intends to address issues related to the environment, consumerism, and evolution technology. The robotics has allowed me to make otherwise static works of art dynamic. This increases the communicative and conceptual power of a work of art, which ceases to be just a static protagonist but becomes an instrument of dialogue with the spectator. My research is based on showing in the most intuitive way possible various social concepts that we all experience, to do this I use a perfect symbiosis between technology, art and communication tools that allow us to reach anyone in the same way. I was born in Casablanca, at the age of 5 I moved to Italy where I feel in love with art. I studied robotics at university but having always been passionate about art, I followed private courses on contemporary art, visiting various exhibitions and events during my school years, driven by the desire to express myself through my tools.
