Claudia-Laura Zigman oscillates between dreamland reality, between imaginary and and real, between her world and the world of everyone. Sometimes she would like to sit at the border between them, but most of the time, they intertwine in a unique, bizarre, original way. The composition holds/bears the imprint of surrealism with symbolic valences. Believes in the beauty of the soul. By this the human is called human, believing that there are still humans on the earth. For them, she gives a part of herself in each work, just as any artist does. In the exhibition “ Al nouălea cer”/ “The ninth heaven” which was held at the Civilization Museum, Brasov, the concept behind the exhibition was:” You can create art from anything”. The insertion of symbols, realized in the works, creates the identity of each character who tells his story in a universal, mythical language, becoming an art work. She uses materials such as: oil, oil colors, tempera, ink, typographic paper(book, newspaper, magazine paper),cement, glass, metal, gemstones, semiprecious stones, velvet fabric, gold leaf, brass, copper, glass, fabrics, cotton, velvet, silk, in unprecedented variation. Also the techniques and creative directions in which she works are various, from painting, graphic, collage, sculpture, mixed techniques and innovative methods of creating objects, clothes, costume, accessory, jewelry design. In the “The ninth heaven” exhibition, she realized besides the oil paintings on canvas, recycling of materials, painting on objects and materials, transformation of serial products into unique, and the transformation of ckitsch objects into art. She had multiple personal exhibitions, held in various locations, institutions and galleries: Art Museum, Civilization Museum, UAP Europe gallery (Union of professionals artists), Corona, Cultural Centre, and other art galleries from Brasov. Claudia-Laura Zigman was awarded with 1st place at the Art Salon, from the Art Museum, Brasov, 2010, for her work „Horse Tin”.
