The social status of women, the male gaze, patriarchy, and the objectification of women have been themes that have been explored. During the research, the artist saw that Munch’s female figures created under the influence of bohemian style were empty and numb, and had completely become a tool for men’s entertainment without consciousness. This made her starts to think about various social issues of contemporary women, and to look at these disputes with dialectical thinking.
Her art is a mirror reflecting the societal standards of beauty and value that act as invisible shackles, binding women to external perceptions and expectations. These norms not only question the intrinsic worth of women but also leave indelible emotional scars, which are vividly depicted in my works. By seamlessly merging abstract and representational imagery, the artist aims to evoke a sense of introspection and contemplation.
