My name is Rajmonda Zajmi, I am Albanian, and I am founder of Eco Fashion Show Albania. 

My main focus is in conceptual art, eco fashion design and creative projects with the purpose to educate, build awareness and provoke critical thinking. 

Living in a challenging world of  ‘waste’ and ‘consumption’  which is becoming difficult to  handle and to resist, it urges the need to talk about waste and visualise it as a valuable resource. 

Inspired always by the beauty of nature we live in and the urge to preserve it for our future generations, my current interest is bringing awareness on waste as result of our daily consumption.  

I do this by combining my love for nature, fashion design and conceptual illustration and this is reflected also on my daily work while I work as a coach to  support enterprises to design more eco friendly products  and services for consumers that will not harm our planet in the future. 

Being conscientious of the impact of our daily household and fashion waste have on our planet, I have realised the importance of expression through art and design as a tool to transmit knowledge, and awareness about the daily waste that we find invaluable and unattractive once we have consumed. 

My mission, through my work, is to showcase and raise awareness around the value of  household and fashion waste and ask for the attention of both consumers and producers, see that there are a range of aesthetic, social and economic possibilities around waste and that we can consume consciously. 

My call for consumers is to think twice before they throw away waste as they can reuse it or transform it into art or other purposes, and for the producers to think about waste as an economical opportunity and design eco friendly products for consumers and think on preserving our common planet.
