Barbara Zaccheo was born in Portogruaro in 1971 (Ve). She has been a member of the Centro Artistico Culturale Piranesi since 1996 and of the Centro Grafico from 2005 to 2010. Zaccheo studied painting at the Accademia Artis Domus of the Centro Piranesi in Mogliano Veneto, where she also attended critical analysis meetings held by Master Giancarlo Zaramella, the founder of the Center, as well as at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where the master taught.
In addition to her past solo exhibitions, including Scoletta Dei Calegheri (Venice, 2001), Sala Barbazza (2002), Al Vapore (Marghera, 2002), Galleria La Cella (Mestre, 2004), and Libreria Zanoni (Padua, 2005), she has participated in numerous group exhibitions: Kursall (Jesolo, 2002), Sala Convegni di Mogliano (2002), Cassa di Risparmio di Venezia (Mestre, 2009), Galleria Brolo (Mogliano Veneto, 2010/2016), and Palazzo Ca’ De Noal (Treviso, 2014).
In 2020, she was selected to participate in an exhibition at the Venice Art Gallery in 2020, 2021, and 2022, as well as at Galleria La Teca in Padua with Omaggio alla Primavera in 2022. That same year, her artwork Toco Tucano (80×60), which participated in the Omaggio alla Primavera exhibition, was included in an online auction by the Capitolium Art auction house, reaching a sale price of €1,100.
Her works are permanently featured on the contemporary art e-commerce site of Galleria La Teca in Padua (italiadesign009.com) and on the Berlin-based contemporary art e-commerce site pamono.com.
In August 2022, she participated with a painting in the Arte Fiera Montesilvano exhibition, curated by gallerist Fabrizio Serafini of Galleria Arte Incontro in Montesilvano (Pe). In October 2022, one of her works, Cioccolato e Arancia, was exhibited at Galleria La Teca in the show Il volto: maschera o verità.
On November 10, 2022, the artist donated her painting INFANZIA (120x80) to the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo in Pescara, which was later sold at auction on December 3, 2022, as a donation to the museum.
On May 13, 2023, the artist held a solo exhibition at Galleria Jelmony in Piacenza, titled Necker, appearing in the newspaper Quotidiano Libertà of Vicenza with the image of INFANZIA, which had been auctioned at the Museum of Pescara.
On August 5, 2023, she held a solo exhibition in Ischia, at Torrione di Forio, titled Syncretic Graphic Chromaticism (Sincretismo Grafico Cromatico), giving rise to a new artistic movement that encapsulates her style. She appeared in newspapers Il Dispari and Il Golfo, as well as on the local news channel Nuvola TV in Forio.
In 2024, on March 2, she inaugurated her solo exhibition Eclectic Universal Dynamism (Eclettico Dinamismo Universale), featuring new works, at the Museo delle Genti d'Abruzzo, receiving great public acclaim and appearing in the newspaper Il Centro.
Starting in July 2024, she will participate in various group exhibitions, including those at Scuola Grande San Teodoro in Venice, Villa Erizzo, and Villa Condulmer with BVV.
On May 28, 2025, the solo exhibition "The rhythm of the sign, the synthesis of color" curated and presented by the historian and art critic Marco Dolfin will open. The exhibition,which is part of the "Le Città in Festa" program of the Municipality of Venice, is set up at the headquarters of the Trasparenze Association in Galleria Giacomuzzi Mestre.
Barbara Zaccheo participates in the ninth edition of the Premio Mestre Di Pittura 2025 ,announced by Il Circolo Veneto,with the Fondazione Musei Civici Venezia and with the collaboration of the Academy Of Fine Arts of Venice and the BEVILACQUA LA MASA FOUNDATION, sponsored by The Veneto Region,the metropolitan city of Venice and the Municipality of Venice. His work JAPANESE MOVEMENT 2025,was selected among the 60 finalists out of 630 candidates for the Premio Mestre Pittura 2025 edition and will be exhibited in the Exhibition of the finalist works at the Candiani Cultural Center from 12 September to 12 October 2025.
