Yue WU, born in 1996, specializes in glass engraving, photography, and installation art. As the third-generation inheritor of Wu Zixiong Glass Art Museum, he began studying glass engraving during his teenage years and has performed in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Japan. Wu graduated from the École Supérieure d’Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen in France, earning a Master’s degree in Fine Arts. He views giants, childhood, and cities as metaphors and sources of inspiration, expressing interest in personal memories and psychological spaces. In his video, installation, and photographic works, he explores the process of searching for human fragments. To him, the colossal beings referred to as giants are born from human collective and individual consciousness, yet they conflict with human norms, reflecting an absolute solitude—a sense of conflict and loneliness that seemingly connects with everyone.
