Laurence Wood graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, in 1985 and was a Chase-Taliani Venice Scholar in 1986. He has exhibited extensively in the UK, Europe and in Asia and was a painting finalist in the 8th Artelaguna International Art Prize in Venice, Italy in 2014. In 2018 he completed a large mural for International Design Week, at the Museum of Comtemporary Art and Planning, Shenzhen, China. In 2016 he held his second solo show ‘Choice Emblems’ at the Lacey Contemporary Gallery in London. He is currently represented as an artist by Nadine South East Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Laurence is currently living and working in Hong Kong where he holds a Professorship in the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at the Education University of Hong Kong. His paintings are included in public and private collections including the Kent Science Park, His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales collection at Highgrove, the National Trust Foundation for Art, the Royal College of Art, London, the HSBC Bank HQ, Canary Wharf, London, UK and the Yitian Plaza Mall, Shenzhen, China.
