Laurence Wood graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, in 1985 and was a Chase-Taliani Resident Venice Scholar in 1986. He has exhibited extensively in the UK, Europe and in Asia and was a painting finalist in the 8th Artelaguna International Art Prize in Venice, Italy in 2014. Since 2024, he has exhibited at Art Central, Hong Kong and at Galerie Makowski in Paris, Miami and New York. In 2025/24 his work was selected for at the Wells Art Contemporary, the New Light and the Silent Disco exhibitions in the U.K . In 2018 he completed a large mural for International Design Week, at the Museum of Comtemporary Art and Planning, Shenzhen, China. In 2016 he held his second solo show ‘Choice Emblems’ at the Lacey Contemporary Gallery in London. He is currently represented as an artist by Galerie Makowski in Europe and the USA and by ART gallery in Hong Kong. His paintings are included in public and private collections including the National Coal Mining Museum for England, the World of Glass Museum , Merseyside, the Mercer's Company, London, the Kent Science Park, His Royal Highness King Charles’ collection at Highgrove, the National Trust Foundation for Art, the Royal College of Art, London, the HSBC Bank HQ, Canary Wharf, London, UK and the Yitian Plaza Mall, Shenzhen, China.
