Annette Wijdeveld is a Dutch photographer, living in the countryside near the Hanseatic city of Hattem. In December 2019 she graduates from the Photo Academy in Amsterdam with her project – Dialogue with Silence-. A search for inner peace and how it translates into discovering and capturing the beauty of the moment.
With her camera, Wijdeveld consciously searches for Silence and solitude. In this Silence in nature arises a deeper connection between the photographer and the photographed landscape. She notices details that we often ignore when we’re preoccupied with the past or future, and she captures the stillness she encounters. Images of the beauty and wonder of the current moment.
The common theme that runs through her work is connection. Within her photography she seeks, finds, experiences and cherishes the Silence. A meditative quest in nature with space and time for wonder, in search of that deep sense of true connection, not only with herself but also with the inexplicably universe of which we are a part.
