Ingrid Weyland is born in Buenos Aires. Being part of a family of sculpters and architects, she grew up among color pencils, art papers, blueprints, inks, and clay. She could spend hours around these materials, and from them arises her passion for form, image and design, finally studying Graphic Design in the University of Buenos Aires, and working in her own study for several years.
Some years later she decides to dedicate herself to studying Photography, beginning with Angela Copello, then participating in Raquel Bigio’s, Fabiana Barreda’s, Inés Miguens’, and Diego Ortiz Mugica’s workshops, Clinic with Julieta Escardó, and Ana Sanchez Zinny, Digital Photography with Juan Brath, “Proyecto Imaginario” coordinated by Martín Estol and María Elena Mendez, and “Lab of Images” with Verónica Fieiras, among others.
Her work has been exhibited in cultural institutions and galleries in Argentina, London, Canadá, and Hong Kong: Arte Espacio (2016), Buenos Aires Photo International Fair (2019-2020), Photo London (2020), Exposure Photo Festival (2021), 1854 BJP Decade of Change Exhibition at The Climate Museum (2021), Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize (2021), among others, and has several upcoming exhibitions in Europe and the United States.
