Jiawei (b. 1976) , an artist and designer, the founder and Chairman of the Board of LKK Creative Design Group. He has received more than 600 prestigious international awards spanning design and fine art, including the 2025 Forbes China Contemporary Art Master title, Bazaar Art’s Annual Art Growth Award, and Fashion Weekly’s Annual Healing Artist of the Year. Infused with warmth and profound philosophical undertones, his body of work has established him as one of the most influential voices in contemporary healing art. Best known for his iconic Ru Hua series, his interdisciplinary practice encompasses painting, sculpture, installation, digital and tech-driven art, through which he continuously explores the transience of life with innovative visual language.
Jiawei KK’s artistic practice originated from a personal journey of painting and self-healing. After facing a cascade of personal hardships in 2018, he created his signature figure “Ruhua” as the core motif of his oeuvre. Depicted as a young girl marked by X-shaped brows and devoid of distinct facial features—no eyes, nose or mouth—the character embodies the artist’s inner spiritual landscape. Through endless iterations of Ru Hua, Jiawei KK visualizes his meditations on life, capturing a profound spiritual evolution from lonely introspection to harmonious unity with nature. His debut solo exhibition Ruhua Wilding opened at UCCA Lab in 2022 and earned widespread critical acclaim. Since then, the Ruhua series has toured major domestic museums and international venues across Japan, Singapore, Spain and New York, with works collected by numerous institutions and private collectors worldwide.
By seamlessly merging artistic creation with cutting-edge technology, while expanding the reach of therapeutic art and social philanthropy, Jiawei KK has built a rich, multi-layered “Ruhua Universe”. This holistic creative ecosystem strikes a sustainable balance between artistic, social and commercial value, presenting an innovative blueprint for the advancement of contemporary Chinese art. In 2025, his landmark large-scale IP exhibition Ruhua: Mountains and Seas premiered at Beijing Times Art Museum, cementing the fully realized framework of his original Chinese healing art system. He was also commissioned to produce bespoke artworks for Hollywood blockbuster franchises Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar 3, creations that won high praise and were personally collected by director James Cameron.
