Fu Hsuan Wang (b. 1998, Taipei, Taiwan) is an artist currently living and working between Paris and Jingdezhen. He received artistic training in the United Kingdom and France, and has also lived in the United States and the Netherlands. He engages with diverse cultural contexts and develops a practice grounded in both theoretical research and cross-media experimentation. His work examines how “respectability” is constructed through everyday procedures and regimes of looking, and how irreversible loss and structural asymmetry are translated into acceptable surfaces through rituals of order and display. Through mixed media and sensory installations, Wang explores the tensions and fractures between power structures and embodied experience.
