Volkova

Dina Volkova is an American artist born and raised in Moscow. She graduated from the Art and Graphic Faculty of Moscow Pedagogical University. Early in her career she worked as an illustrator for Moscow publishing houses, including Izobrazitelnoe Iskusstvo (“Fine Art”), which published millions of greeting cards featuring her compositions.

After moving to the United States in the early 1990s, she developed a painting practice exploring light as a generative force from which abstract forms emerge. Volkova has exhibited with the Baltimore Watercolor Society and held two solo exhibitions at Touchstone Gallery in Washington, D.C. Her work is held in private collections and represented by JS Gallery and international online platforms.
